In this study, the effect of annealing treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold- rolled AA8011 aluminum alloy sheets produced by twin- roll casting was investigated. After cold rolling with a 43% reduction in thickness 4.5 mm, the samples were annealed at temperatures ranging from 300 °C to 600 °C. An eddy current test was employed as a non-destructive method to monitor recovery and recrystallization processes. The microscopic results showed that annealing temperature plays a key role in the evolution of microstructure, grain size, and distribution of intermetallic particles (Al- Fe- Si). Kinetic analysis based on the JMAK model indicated that the Avrami exponent increases with temperature, leading to accelerated nucleation. At temperature of 600 °C, a more uniform microstructure with finer grains and more spherical intermetallic particles was obtained. These changes were accompanied by improved mechanical properties, and 600 °C was identified as the optimum annealing temperature.
