In this study, a NiCrBSi coating was deposited onto a CK45 steel substrate using the flame powder spraying technique and subsequently subjected to a fusing heat treatment in an electric furnace under argon atmosphere. The treatment was carried out at 1050 °C for 25 minutes and at 950 °C for 5 minutes. After fusing, hardness and wear tests were performed, and the microstructural characteristics were analyzed using a scanning electron microscope equipped with EDS. The results revealed that at 1050 °C for 25 minutes, the splat boundaries were completely eliminated, while at 950 °C for 5 minutes, they remained clearly visible. Increasing the fusing temperature and duration removed fine spherical unmelted particles, although larger unmelted particles persisted. At 1050 °C for 25 minutes, porosity was also eliminated, and the enhanced cohesion between coating constituents led to a hardness increase of about 170 Vickers. Wear analysis indicated that the fused coating at 950 °C for 5 minutes exhibited mainly parallel scratches with localized deep grooves, whereas the coating treated at 1050 °C for 25 minutes consisted only of smooth, shallow scratches, without any evidence of spalling or severe grooving.
